I get asked a lot which model of AI is the best for different businesses. The truth is that it really depends on what the business's specific needs are.

A great number of businesses across many fields are implementing Artificial Intelligence into their workflows. Knowing which model is best for the specific task at hand can feel like a hurdle in the way of implementing it efficiently.

I would like to take a closer look at 3 of the biggest names in AI today, and get a better understanding of what tasks they excel at and where they are best used.

Please keep in mind as we move forward, AI should never be used in the place of a person with expertise for ANY of these jobs, but should only ever be used to assist, and save time.

Chat GPT

From the personable, friendly tone to its exceptional customer service, ChatGPT is an absolute all-in-one workhorse that can excel at almost anything. It is also one of the most multi-modal models, meaning you can put images into it, create images from it, and copy and paste just about anything.

Here are the tasks that I think ChatGPT excels at and why:

  • Creating SOPs and Training Manuals - While you should never rely entirely on AI for SOPs or training manuals, it can definitely help speed up drafting time and enhance clarity.

  • Summarizing meetings and Internal Coms - ChatGPT is undoubtedly good at understanding tone and matching it, and excels at conversational summarization. It can do this for in-person meetings, no copy-and-pasting transcripts needed.

  • Brainstorming Marketing Ideas and Campaigns - Not only can GPT excel at brainstorming ideas for marketing, but can also do research into popular ideas or summarize the reasons behind certain marketing ideas efficiently.

  • Writing Ad-Copy or Taglines - ChatGPT excels at understanding audience tone, emotional triggers, and brand language, making it a great assistant for this job.

  • Creating SEO-Friendly Content - ChatGPT can be a great SEO assistant. It excels at tasks like generating content ideas, writing initial drafts, creating outlines, and writing meta descriptions, which can save time and boost productivity.

  • Designing Product Descriptions or Sales Pages - ChatGPT can help professionals save time with SEO Optimization, content variety, and targeting audiences.

  • Handling Customer Queries and Chatbots - GPT is available 24/7, offers quick support time, and has a conversational tone.

  • Generating Blogs or Social Posts - ChatGPT works as a great assistant for brainstorming, finding sources, and helping break down complex information. It's also great for wording SEO and GEO friendly meta titles and descriptions.

  • Research Synthesis - ChatGPT can help with finding sources, writing citations, formatting, data analysis and more.

  • Creating Logos or Graphics - ChatGPT is sometimes a great way to create a fast easy logo idea.

Claude

Anthropic AI's Claude is undeniably your data-analysis go-to, and a great tool for coding or guiding you as a coder. Its ability for long-context processing and depth of understanding are what sets it apart from Deepseek and ChatGPT. It is also now able to make excel sheets, power points and word documents. This makes it an undeniable asset to any team, especially in highly technical fields. It can also be downloaded, so you can open and run it locally for extra security of your data. With its high ethical reasoning capabilities, there is no wonder why it's a great choice for us in business.

How I feel Claude excels at tasks in the workforce:

  • Data Analysis and Processing - Claude keeps context while analyzing complex information, offering clear, structured insights instead of surface-level summaries.

  • Content Generation and Editing - It produces polished, professional writing with excellent tone control, making it ideal for reports, briefs, and formal content.

  • Coding and Documentation - Claude explains and structures code like a technical writer, making documentation consistent and easy to understand.

  • Research and Summarization - Handles long or dense materials with nuance, summarizing without losing key details or intent.

  • Document Review - Great at comparing versions, catching inconsistencies, and identifying missing or contradictory information.

  • Checking Compliance Gaps - Excels at logical precision and structured reasoning, spotting where policies or documentation fall short of requirements.

Deepseek is a unique model, costing a fraction of what most models take to create and run AI models. What makes Deepseek stand out is its speed and efficiency, especially when it comes to technical tasks. It's become a favorite for developers and teams that need quick, reliable results without breaking the bank.

Where I think Deepseek shines in business:

  • Cost-Effective Coding Solutions - Deepseek offers solid coding assistance at a much lower cost than other models, making it ideal for startups or small teams working on tight budgets.

  • Mathematical and Technical Problem Solving - It handles complex calculations and technical queries with impressive accuracy, which is great for engineering and data science teams.

  • Quick Prototyping and Testing - When you need fast iterations on code or technical concepts, Deepseek's speed can help you move through development cycles faster.

  • API Integration and Automation - Deepseek works well for teams building automated systems or integrating multiple APIs, offering reliable performance without high costs.

  • Educational Support and Learning - For teams training junior developers or learning new technologies, Deepseek provides clear explanations without the premium price tag.

So, Which One Should You Choose?

The honest answer is that there's no one-size-fits-all solution. Each of these models has its strengths, and the best choice depends on what your business needs most right now.

If you're focused on customer-facing content, marketing, and general business communication, ChatGPT is probably your best bet. It's versatile, user-friendly, and great at matching tone and style.

For teams dealing with heavy data analysis, technical documentation, or compliance work, Claude is worth the investment. Its ability to maintain context and produce structured.

FAQs

Q: Can I use more than one AI model at the same time?

Absolutely! In fact, I recommend it. A lot of businesses use ChatGPT for customer-facing content and brainstorming, Claude for technical documentation and data analysis, and Deepseek for cost-effective coding projects. There's no rule that says you have to pick just one. Use the right tool for the right job.

Q: Which AI is best for someone just starting out?

If you're new to AI, I'd start with ChatGPT. It's the most user-friendly and versatile, so you can experiment with different tasks without feeling overwhelmed. Once you understand what you need AI to do for your business, you can branch out to the others.

Q: Are these AI models secure for handling sensitive business data?

That depends on how you use them. Claude offers a downloadable version for extra security, which is great for sensitive work. Always check your company's data policies before using AI tools.

Q: How much do these models cost?

Pricing varies a lot. ChatGPT has free and paid tiers (ChatGPT Plus is around $20/month). Claude also has free and paid options. Deepseek is known for being significantly cheaper to run, especially for technical tasks. For business use, most companies end up paying for premium versions to get faster responses and more features.
